Mallory

Mallory, 30, is an entrepreneur originally from Tennessee, who now lives and works in the Triad area of North Carolina. She and her sister Tiffany together own @mallorypaigedesigns, a jewelry business based on the Biblical passage about having a faith the size of a mustard seed that can move mountains. Their bracelets and necklaces each hold a mustard seed in a glass vial.

When not creating and packaging the jewelry, Mallory keeps active with her classes at Linley College, and works in her math and reading workbooks on days off. She also enjoys singing, writing, playing soccer with her niece, and exercising 5 days per week on her recumbent bicycle. Her favorite television shows are Roseanne, Barney, and Loud House. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Mallory lives with Tiffany, Tiffany’s husband, and their three children. Tiffany writes of their relationship: “When we decided it was best for her to live with me and my family, I knew it was an additional responsibility, but I wasn’t prepared for the laughter and pure joy she would bring my family on a daily basis. We’ve had to slow down, which initially seemed like it would be a burden, but it turns out that slowing down made us savor moments we would have overlooked in the past. Family is EVERYTHING to Mallory. She wants to be where the people she loves are, even if there’s nothing going on. We thought we would be helping and teaching Mal, but I really believe I’ve learned more from her than she could ever learn from us.”

The two sisters behind @mallorypaigedesigns credit their faith in God with the success and future of the business. The book of Matthew in the Bible is the basis for their mustard seed concept: “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” -Matthew 17:20. Tiffany and Mallory apply this idea daily as they show the world that people with Down syndrome can be entrepreneurs... and be pretty amazing at it!

One of Mallory’s favorite parts of the business is personally signing each tag on each jewelry bag. Tiffany says that she has amazing handwriting and is very precise! A goal for Mallory has been to grow in her verbal presentation skills when speaking to customers and talking about @mallorypaigedesigns. Tiffany says that she's made amazing progress in this area, and that “If you ask her about the business now, she will proudly and confidently tell you ALL about it!” The pair hope to someday make Mallory Paige Designs their full-time job.
