321 Coffee is a nonprofit coffee shop in Raleigh, North Carolina staffed by individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Anna, 18, has been dedicated in her work with the 321 team for about two years, preparing coffees, serving customers, and making lattes—her favorite—at 321's Raleigh Farmer's Market location. In her free time, Anna plays tennis, perfects her jazz dance techniques, cheers for her high school's varsity team, and listens to her current pop favorites, Meghan Trainor and Taylor Swift. She is currently studying math and biology as part of her program.

This story is inspiring on its own, but even more so in light of her battle with Leukemia at one year of age. She underwent chemotherapy and recovered, and the following year Anna's Angels Foundation was created in her honor. In partnership with Duke Children's Hospital, its goal is to promote research to improve the lives of individuals with Down Syndrome.
